| Description | A Jefferies tube, also known as a service crawlway or service duct, is a type of access tunnel or internal maintenance conduit that is used on the USS Oceanus to provide crew access to various parts of the ship and its internal systems. In emergencies, they were also used for moving around the ship if turbolifts are not functional. Crew have been known to utilize private alcoves or other manner of hidden rooms inside jefferies tubes for relaxation or social gatherings, however this is typically done while preforming maintenance or work. |
