Additional Information

Location Deck 9A (Stored underside of saucer)
Description The Aeroshuttle Aerowing-class Captain's Yacht is a ventrally docking subordinate craft of Intrepid-class starships, of which the USS Oceanus comes equipped. The craft is designed for atmospheric operations and short-to-long-term missions as a support vessel, rather than as an independently operating small starship like the Danube-class on which it's based. While the purpose of the Aerosuttle is to primarily act as the ships Captain's Yacht to be utilized during scientific explorations, it can be configured much like the Type 11 to be a multi-mission platform.

The Aeroshuttle is equipped with four Type-IV phaser arrays, two photon torpedo launchers, deflector shields, its own warp core, and a warp core ejection hatch.

In its standard profile, the cockpit is designed similar to a small space craft. It has four stations; Operations and Flight Control to the front, Engineering to the left and Science to the right. In the center of the cockpit is a Command Chair which acts as Command/Tactical. To the right-rear of the cockpit is a replicator dedicated for the cockpit crew. Behind the cockpit is a compartment which has storage on the right and a fully-stocked Crew Head on the left, which includes bathrooms and restroom facilities for two persons at one time, and the center of which has a table with four chairs for dining that can be stored in the floor.

To the rear of the second compartment is the Crew Bunks, with the right side having six bunks with storage and the left having two bunks with storage. To the rear of the crew bunking compartment is a compartment with a six-personnel transporter on the left and a Crew Mess on the right with fully stocked replicator and two tables with four primary seats and four additional seats that can be pulled up from the floor when necessary. Behind the crew mess compartment is the Master Suite, typically reserved for the Captain or Commanding Officer. The Master Suite comes equipped with its replicator and two-person dining table, a corner couch with coffee table, a fully-stocked Head, a small office area attached to the other side of the Head near the corner-couch, and a two-person bunk with extra storage where the second top bunk usually acts as storage but can be transformed when necessary.

There are three other configurations available besides the standard Captain's Yacht; Combat, Emergency Medical, and Fighter Operations.

In the combat variant, most of the interior behind the cockpit is replaced by facilities geared to storing and transporting Marines and equipment; replacing the Master Suite with bunkrooms, keeping the transporter and Mess, stripping the Crew Bunks for weapons and equipment storage, and keeping the Crew Head compartment relatively the same save for extra storage for weapons and gear. In the Emergency Medical variant, all compartments save for the Master Suite are changed; The Master Suite is replaced by a fully stocked medical sickbay which can handle five injured personnel at a time and the Aeroshuttle will have additional storage for medical supplies. In Fighter Operations, the Master Suite is replaced with a Flight Operations area to act as AWACS which will hold four consoles dedicated to maintaining combat space of operations.
